What Is the Brattleboro Gallery Walk?
The Brattleboro Gallery Walk is an annual, seasonal arts event that takes place in downtown Brattleboro, VT. The event is held from May through December and takes place on the first Friday of each month during the warmest season of the year. Centered around the booming arts scene that Brattleboro is known for, the Gallery Walk involves everything from live music and a flea market to artists creating their goods for all to see right in the streets.

The Walk
You can visit one of 19 art galleries, studios, and crafty shops in the area while visiting downtown Brattleboro. From Main Street to Elliot, High, and Green Street, there are numerous galleries to visit within about a city block. A few noteworthy spots on the walk include:

Pop-up art stations are situated throughout Harmony Tunnel and Harmony Park. These stations are simply locals who want to sing, make art, or even read some written prose to passersby as they enjoy the festivities. There’s even an open invitation to play oversize board games in the area with a few locals.
The Market
The Brattleboro Gallery Walk is home to the Brattleboro Flea—one of the hippest flea markets you can find. The Flea consists of more than 30 different booths set up by local artists and artisans.
Food Truck Court
The Food Truck Court at the Gallery Walk features a rotating collection of various local foods. Community tables are set up near the stage, so everyone has a spot to sit while enjoying the live music and eating. Guests are invited to bring their own flowers to add to the table for an added spark of creativity.
The Stage
Every Friday during the Gallery Walk Brattleboro hosts a free-to-the-public concert at a stage set up in the Harmony parking lot. The concerts often feature some of the best musicians in the local area that play a collection of classic tunes and contemporary music for all to enjoy. You’ll see artists like Kris Yunker and bands like Tilden and Sweet Lightning.
Beer Garden
The Beer Garden is also located in the Harmony parking lot. Guests have access to a fresh collection of brews from some of the best breweries in Vermont.

What time does the Gallery Walk happen?
Each scheduled Friday, the Gallery Walk is hosted between the hours of 5 and 9 pm. Occasionally, you may see adjustments to the schedule to accommodate special events.
Does the Gallery Walk still happen if it rains?
Yes! The Brattleboro Gallery Walk is held whether rain or shine. The galleries are indoors and some of the outdoor activities are held under canopies and tents. So, feel free to grab your umbrella and head out even if it’s a rainy Friday afternoon.
Where should you park when visiting the Gallery Walk?
You may find open and free parking at some of the area businesses. If you do not, however, there are several paid parking areas around downtown Brattleboro, including:
- Preston Lot, which is located on Flat Street
- Harris Place Lot at the Harris Place
- High Grove Lot on Grove Street
- The Transportation Center parking garage with entrances on Flat and Elliot Streets
